Simple habits for cleaner cushions and a comfortable little resting spot.
A little tidy, often
Remove loose fur regularly with a soft brush or lint roller suitable for the fabric. Check the bed for loose threads, worn seams and anything your cat might chew. Small, regular clean-ups are often easier than waiting until the cushion needs a thorough refresh.
Follow the care label
Before washing any removable cover or cushion, read its care instructions. Do not assume that every part is machine washable. Use only products suitable for the material and avoid strongly scented cleaners around your cat. Keep the bed out of use until all cleaned parts are completely dry.
Check more than the cushion
For a desk-mounted bed, inspect the attachment and supporting parts regularly, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Recheck the fit if you move the bed or desk. Stop using it if a part is damaged or the mounting no longer feels secure.
Bring back the familiar
After cleaning, return the bed to its usual place. A familiar, clean blanket nearby can help keep the area welcoming. Leave your cat free to choose another resting spot while they get used to the refreshed cushion.
